About HyveOS

Built by a contractor.
For contractors.

HyveOS isn’t a software company that figured out construction. It’s a construction company that got tired of bad software.

The story

I’ve been running Jakeb Construction in North Carolina for years. Residential GC work — kitchens, additions, new builds, the whole range. Real clients with real expectations and real deadlines. At some point I had QuickBooks for invoicing, a separate app for estimates, a shared Google Drive for contracts, and 47 group texts to coordinate my crew. Every week I was paying for software that wasn’t built for the way I actually work.

BuilderTrend and CoConstruct are great platforms — for someone running $5M+ commercial jobs with a full-time project manager and an office admin to onboard everything. That’s not my business. I needed something I could open on my phone at a job site, send an estimate from my truck, and know my margins without a degree in accounting. Nothing like that existed, so I started building it.

HyveOS is what I actually use to run Jakeb Construction. Every feature shipped because a real job needed it. The AI pricing intelligence exists because I got tired of re-entering the same line items for kitchen remodels. The client portal exists because clients would text me asking where their estimate was. The daily log exists because I got sued once over documentation. This platform is built from real pain, not a product manager’s feature roadmap.

How we build

A few principles we don’t bend on.

If it doesn't work in the field, it doesn't ship.

Every feature gets used on a real Jakeb Construction job before it goes to customers. No lab demos, no theoretical workflows.

Your data is yours.

Full CSV exports at any time. We don't hold your data hostage, and we never train AI models on your business information.

We build what we need ourselves.

No VC roadmap. No "enterprise features" to upsell. The features that ship are the features the people running this platform actually wanted.

Be honest about what's missing.

HyveOS is in beta. Some things are rough. We'd rather tell you what doesn't work yet than overpromise and underdeliver.

The platform

We’re in public beta. Here’s what that means.

HyveOS is live and real construction companies are running real jobs on it today. Beta doesn’t mean broken — it means we’re still refining. Features ship fast. Prices may evolve as we understand what different types of companies need. If something doesn’t work the way you expect, you have direct access to the people building it.

Early beta users get personal support — not a ticketing system, not a chatbot. If you run into something, send a message and a real person responds. We want to hear what’s missing and what’s broken so we can fix it for everyone.
